5.2.1. Parallel distribution

Broadly speaking, power supply systems usually have several loads. Distribution of these loads is very important, because it may cause malfunction in some of them. A common error is found in the connection of the load in parallel as shown in figure 26. In this figure it can be seen that the current flowing through each of the power cables is different and, therefore, its voltage drop is also different. In this example, load 3 will be the most affected one, unless its absorbed current is small, in which case the voltage drop on the wire can be discarded.
